Engage Your Community To address Antisemitism.

Since 2010, 3GNY’s WEDU speakers have provided a human face to the past and a living link to the present in classroom settings. Now, in partnership with Zikaron BaSalon, we invite you to gather in your home, workplace, campus, and communities to remember and reflect on the Holocaust while addressing the recent rise in antisemitism around the world and in our own backyard. In these challenging times, we must stand together and take action against hatred and discrimination.

how it works

  1. You invite your friends, colleagues, neighbors, or community to a 3G Salon gathering.

  2. We connect you with a WEDU speaker to share their grandparent’s Holocaust survival story with your guests via Zoom.

  3. We provide you with a Host Kit with tips, resource links, and discussion prompts to foster dialogue and promote understanding amid the dangerous rise in antisemitism worldwide.

  4. You create a meaningful event that not only commemorates the past, but also confronts the present.

each 3g salon is a journey through time

  1. REMEMBER THE PAST

The 3G Salon begins with personal family testimony from the grandchild of a Holocaust survivor (third generation descendant, or “3G”). By sharing their grandparent’s Holocaust story, 3G speakers deepen listeners' understanding of the personal and collective impacts of antisemitism and hatred.

  2. FEEL THE MOMENT

3G testimonies are impactful. This second part of the Salon is a transitional stage, giving some time to process the testimony and to create a safe and open space for a meaningful discussion.

  3. SHAPE THE FUTURE

The last part of the Salon is an open conversation, a unique opportunity to talk together and understand the lessons we have learned as individuals and as a society. Your Host Kit provides a range of discussion prompts to foster meaningful dialogue.

A typical 3G Salon lasts about 1.5 hours. Some simple preparation will help create a more meaningful experience for your guests. Create a comfortable environment, prepare your content in advance using our Host Kit, and consider providing light refreshments. Ensure that you have a computer and a stable internet connection to allow your 3G speaker to present via Zoom.
